When the LOX Design Team was first briefed regarding the LOX Yoshi, the instruction was a simple. “Make the best 1-3kg you can”. This lead the team to ask the more searching question…. what makes a great 1-3kg stick? In the first instance, the rod must be lure specific. Designed from the “ground-up” so the Angler to make hundreds, if not thousands of casts without fatiguing. The rod must be as light as possible. The grips must also be arranged so that “balance” and ergonomics, that “just right” feeling is achieved. The runners must also complement the working curve and dynamics of an unbelievably light rod. A difficult yet achievable objective requiring all new state-of-the-art carbon technology combined with innovative “wrap” techniques. Following the commercial release of the 1-3kg Yoshi Australian Competition Angler’s have overwhelmingly endorsed the rod. In the space of only a few short years the Yoshi has become the “weapon of choice” for elite Bream and Trout Anglers across the country. There isn’t a single major tournament in the country that does not see a collection of LOX rods proudly taking their rightful place on the podium. That is the real LOX story. Elite Angler’s matched to LOX rods designed first and foremost for the rigors of hard-edged full-on competition. At the end of the day, what better yardstick is there than the endorsement of the “magic 5%” the top 5% those Anglers that account for 95% of all fish caught. LOX is confident that our design brief has been fulfilled.
