The Barambah B60 is a versatile diver for Australian bass, golden perch and Murray cod. It is extremely buoyant and snag-resistant. It can be worked either slowly, shallowly and wide when casting or fast, deeply and tightly to over 7 m in depth for impoundment trolling. At 60 mm body length it has a small profile, but rigged with 3X BKKs, it can handle bass, golden perch and Murray cod.
To add to its versatility, Chin Nuts can be added to the chin eyelet to reduce buoyancy and increase depth capabilities. Tournament anglers are frothing over the release of the B60 for its long lining ability to get down into the zone more quickly and stay there as required.
Depending on the weight you add, this lure will reach 8 m+ depths on a troll and can be worked extremely slowly across the bottom.
This lure is a personal favourite for trolling Somerset and Boondooma Dams, where you can pick up both goldens on the banks and bass on either the flats or the banks. It is also sensational on Glenlyon Dam Yellas when you can troll that 18- to 21-foot contour that they love. Don't be surprised when a cod jumps on as well, as small lures account for plenty of cod in many dams.
Take it yakking in the rivers for Cod and Yellas, and it will do the job as well. Short, accurate casts around the structure will see it dive quickly into the strike zone. Remove the chin nut in this situation for greater buoyancy, allowing you to work it slowly in amongst timber, where cod and yellas can't resist it.
