The new generation of the Abu Garcia Veritas fishing rod series has been released in 2024. The upgrade in this current model is known as the 5.0 series (fifth generation). Abu aimed to develop a fishing rod with all of the iconic actions and characteristics that anglers have grown to appreciate in the Veritas range while remaining at an accessible price level.
Veritas 5.0 is a continuation of the classic, classy white design seen in all prior model series and is constructed with superior Fuji tangle-resistant components. The Abu Garcia Veritas Rods 5.0 range is built on a 30-tonne extra-high-density graphite blank to maximise casting performance, sensitivity, and strength. The rods are finished off with comfortable, ergonomic closed-cell EVA handles for maximum transmission of sensitivity.
The Abu Garcia Veritas Fishing Rods 5.0 series is available at the Fishing Tackle Shop in four distinct styles: spin, baitcasting, travel and jig. There are multiple options in light spin for bass, trout and bream, as well as rods suitable for heavier inshore fish such as cod, barramundi and mulloway. Those anglers who fish offshore were not forgotten, with a selection of medium-heavy boat sticks available among the choices.
